1) Our Doubles Day at Fulwood Conservative Club on Saturday 6th June 2009 was won by Ken Earl and John Smith (Roebuck A). They beat Harold Parker and Ian Downing (Deepdale Labour) 21-19.
2) This year we our celebrating the League's Golden Jubilee with a one-off Competition Day. This comprises of two actual competitions a) between bowling teams within Divisions 1 to 3 and b) between bowling teams within Divisions 4 to 6 which are to be held at Preston Conservative Club on Saturday 22nd August 2009 again commencing at 10.30a.m. promptly.
